George Eisenhauer
Don Basilio
Tenor George Eisenhauer has been described by former New York Times music critic Allan Kozinn as having a “graceful and focused sound,” with “subtle dramatic sensibility.” George Eisenhauer has performed principal roles including Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, and as the soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Penobscot Bay Singers and at the White Mountain Bach Festival. In 2014, he performed as the First Commissioner with the Portland Symphony Orchestra in their production of Poulenc’s Dialogues Des Carmélites, and the following winter gave a performance as the tenor in Benjamin Britten’s five “Canticles” with the Portland Rossini Club. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, George Eisenhauer holds degrees in music performance and music education from the University of Southern Maine.
