Elaine Crane is honored to be debuting with Panopera, and reprising
her role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro as well as costuming the
show. The recipient of the EMACT DASH award for Best Actress in a
Musical (Maria in The Sound of Music, with Concord Players) and
several other nominations, this versatile singing actress enjoys
performing in a variety of genres, from opera (Lauretta- Gianni Schicchi,
Micaëla- Carmen) to musical theatre (Fiona- Brigadoon, Marian- The
Music Man, Guenevere- Camelot, Eliza- My Fair Lady, Lili/Kate- Kiss
Me Kate) to G&S (most of their heroines!) She can be heard on the
original soundtrack recording of the musical Song on the Wind by
Concord composer David MacAdam of New Life Fine Arts, and recently
made her solo debut on NPR as a featured soloist on Says You! An
honors graduate of The Boston Conservatory, Elaine is the founder and
executive director of Greater Worcester Opera, with whom she’ll be
performing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni this coming June. In
April, she’ll also be performing Phyllis in Iolanthe with Sudbury
